Monster Tamers is a full monster-taming RPG that runs entirely in your browser. Catch wild monsters from 60 original species, build your party, level them up and evolve them, then take on 7 gym leaders and the Monster League. Your progress auto-saves, and with Team Codes you can battle your friends’ parties (AI-controlled). No install, no account — completely free.

How to play

1. Choose your first partner from three starters: Flame, Aqua, or Leaf
2. Walk the overworld with arrow keys (or the on-screen d-pad) — wild monsters appear in tall grass. Weaken them before throwing a ball
3. Earn EXP to level up — many monsters evolve at certain levels
4. Bump into trainers on the map to battle them; bump into town buildings to heal and shop
5. Defeat each town’s gym leader to earn badges and open the road to new areas
6. Collect all 7 badges to challenge the Elite Four and the Champion
7. In the Arena, export a Team Code and battle your friends’ teams (AI-controlled)

Is it free to play?

Yes, completely free. No account or installation is required — it runs right in your browser.

Where is my save stored?

It auto-saves to your browser’s localStorage. To switch devices or browsers, export a Save Code from the Save screen and import it on the other device.

Any tips for catching monsters?

Lower the target’s HP as much as possible and inflict a status condition — sleep doubles your odds, other conditions give 1.5x. Better balls also raise the catch rate.

Can I battle my friends?

Yes. In the Battle Arena, export your Team Code and swap codes with a friend. It’s asynchronous: their party is controlled by the AI rather than played live.

Is this related to Pokémon?

No. Monster Tamers is an entirely original, independent free browser game. All monsters, moves, and the world are original creations.
